Welcome to

Claire Lorraine Leng Reflexology

Reflexology in Haslemere, Milford and surrounding areas.

About Me

I'm a fully qualified and insured Reflexologist and a member of the Association of Reflexologists. I became passionate about reflexology when I experienced the benefits of treatments myself during a stressful time.

I completed a Level 3 Diploma in Reflexology in central London and qualified in 2005 before starting my own practice.

After a career change and having my children, I decided to return to holistic therapy in 2022. I completed a refresher course with Sally Earlam and began my path back to the wonderful world of reflexology.

I currently offer treatments in Haslemere, Milford and Godalming and have a particular interest in women's health, menopause, pregnancy and postnatal as well as stress and anxiety.

I have completed additional training in Reflexology for Menopause as well as Postnatal Reflexology and I'm currently studying advanced Maternity Reflexology techniques.

As well as reflexology, I also offer Indian Head Massage treatments.

I have a background in Psychology and I'm very passionate about how we can all improve our mental health and wellbeing. My aim is always to provide a calm, supportive and empathetic environment.

What is Reflexology?

Reflexology is a gentle holistic therapy based on the theory that different points on the feet correspond with different areas of the body. These points are "mapped" onto the feet and treatment involves using different pressure techniques to work these points. Reflexology can aid relaxation, help release tension, improve mood, wellbeing and sleep. Reflexology is holistic and treats the whole person. It is important to note that reflexologists cannot diagnose or cure and treatment should not be used as an alternative to seeking medical advice. It can however be a wonderful, relaxing therapy that can be used alongside other medical treatment.

Reducing stress is really important for overall health and resilience. I provide time for one on one attention in a supportive and empathetic environment. My treatments are a time just for you, for calm and relaxation.

How you may feel during Reflexology

Before a treatment, a medical history and consultation will be taken. I will then cleanse the feet with Neal's Yard spray before applying essential oil reflexology cream.

For the reflexology treatment you will need to remove your shoes and socks. I will use relaxation techniques on the feet and lower leg/ankle area before applying pressure to the different areas and reflexes of the feet.

Some of these may feel tender but the overall treatment should be relaxing. The pressure used will be firm but should not be painful. I will always adjust my pressure to make sure you are comfortable.

Indian Head Massage

I offer supine Indian Head Massage as an optional add on to reflexology (available as a separate treatment at Luck's Yard and The Green Retreat)

This is carried out lying down on your back, fully clothed. Areas of the face, head, scalp, neck, ears, arms and hands are massaged using various techniques. The treatment is very calming and comforting and can ease tension and stress.

How you may feel after a treatment

Most people experience an improved sense of wellbeing and relaxation after a treatment. You may find that you feel more tired than usual and sleep better. You will need to drink plenty of water following the treatment.

If you have any questions following your treatment, I am always happy to discuss.

How many sessions will I need?

How many sessions you have is completely up to you and your circumstances. However, reflexology works best when receiving regular treatments.

To get the maximum benefit, I would suggest an initial treatment followed by 3 sessions, ideally every 2 or 3 weeks.

After this, depending on how you are feeling, you may choose to book another 3 session plan, or move to once a month to maintain the benefits.
